On March 10-12, 2018, mActive team members made a trip to Orlando, FL for the American College of Cardiology's 67th Annual Scientific Session and Expo. It was a wonderful scientific meeting, filled with exciting late-breaking trial results, fascinating lectures, and plenty of expert-filled panel discussions. Staying true to our interests in mHealth, we spent a lot of time at the Future Hub - an educational venue that focused on topics related to the future of health technology and innovation. The Expo at ACC.18 featured a panoply of vendors, as well as hundreds of academic posters spanning a wide variety of topics in cardiology and cardiovascular science. Our mHealth Fellow, Luke Silverman-Lloyd, represented the mActive Team and Ciccarone Center in the Prevention section with a poster of the mActive-Smoke study, which used mHealth tools to assess the association of physical activity with smoking urges. In one of the more exciting events of the weekend, our colleagues from Corrie Health competed as finalists in the inaugural Digital Health Innovation Challenge, where they pitched their innovative Corrie platform to an audience of entrepreneurs, physicians and investors. Overall, it was a really fun weekend full of education, engagement and inspiration. We're already looking forward to ACC.19 next year in New Orleans!
